6 secrets to college success

When reading the article about the 6 secrets to success in college a few stood out to me that I could use my own self. The first one I found to be very useful is to show up to every class. This is extremely fundamental when succeeding in college. If you miss one class meeting, your whole understanding of the content at hand can be thrown off. The next rule I thought to be very useful is to be undistracted, this is super important! if you come to class but didn't pay attention, you may as well had not even come to class. When in college meeting with the other students is crucial, when you have a group project things will not flow smoothly if you don't coordinate with other students. Those are the rules I've found most useful!

what i hope to get out of writing class is ...

I really hope to excel as a writer in this class. I enjoy writing and to get even better at it would be great. I hope to learn how to write essays more efficiently and more correct, organized. I want to learn more about the writing process and critique each step so I will get better. I want to work on grammar skills when it comes to writing. I sometimes forget to capitalize where its needed. I want to work on My content as well. I want to write something interesting, not so boring. I want others to enjoy my writing as much as I do & I believe this class will over all make me a well rounded writer.
hello, my name is Lauren Hurst. I am in this class because I am majoring in criminal justice and this is a required course. I also enjoy English and have always taken advanced English courses in high school. I am 18 years old i moved out this year but I've always lived in the state of Alabama for the most part I did move away when I was 13 but that was briefly. I live with my fiance. We have two dogs. The youngest, Icy, is almost 7 months. He is a red nose pit and he is so loving and likes to be cuddled like a baby! the other, Carlie is a pit and lab mix she is sweet but doesn't appreciate much affection. she is more of a human than a dog. In my free time I mostly go to the gym and spend time with my friends and my fiance. I  Like college and im exited to see where this new semester brings me!
